I used to make my little Airborne cocktail every morning in my hotel room, in one of the cute little hotel glasses. At the beginning of the tour. Before I was enlightened. Glad you posted this Mike but it's a lot worse than this, sheets MAY be cleaned some places, but throw up and other bodily fluids remain, some only wiped down as time moves on...busess and plane seats actually showed fleas and live bacteria on another undercover show; I for one travel with my own bedding, glasses that sit in hot water for hours and plastic utencils in package, then again I'm anal about germs...re: bath tubs? They barely EVER get rinsed or washed. People do unspeakable things in their baths alone or with partners and THAT barely ever gets cleaned in a hotel room. Get a foot mat and use a shower, get a sleeping bag and sleep in that and use your own cups and utensils...it's the only way to be safe during travel, no matter where you go
