A few choice words from Regina Spektor's "On The Radio" that feel particularly resonant to me right now. This is my favorite verse from the entire "Begin To Hope" album.
"This is how it works: you're young until you're not,
You love until you don't, you try until you can't,
You laugh until you cry, you cry until you laugh,
And everyone must breathe until their dying breath
This is how it works: you peer inside yourself,
You take the things you like, then try to love the things you took,
And then you take that love you made and stick it into some,
Someone else's heart pumping someone else's blood,
And walking arm in arm, you hope it don't get harmed,
And even if it does you'll just do it all again..."

ReplyDeleteHey, I was at the Dress rehearsal last night October 17 and WOW, never would have thought you all were sick! It was awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteOne hint for you all and I know this sounds silly. If you want to get well quickly, eat some egg drop soup from a GOOD chinese restaraunt. Or find some nice mommy to make you some homemade chicken noodle soup. I would have but we are now 4 hours away. Egg Drop soup will kick you back on your feet quickly! Thanks for the good FREE time last night.
I say go for the hot and sour soup instead. That stuff rocks! And it will clear out those sinuses.
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself last night. Once you get on stage you just forget all the sick. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you both for all the helpful/healthful suggestions. I'll be trying them.
