WOOHOOOOOO!

Our little 3D movie grossed approximately $29 million over the weekend, in only 683 theatres! This is insane. We were the #1 movie in America. It is already reported to be the highest-grossing 3D film ever released!

Disney is now rolling the movie out into even more theatres.

  2. Yes - including our $45! It was lots of fun.

And might I mention, there were quite a few moments where it was like the Mike Schmid Show all up in there. And your Delaware fans quietly woo-ed for you every time.

    Uber-impressed.

  3. yes the movie was amazing!! it reflected Miley's personality 100% and shared everybody on the screen equally. I'd always shout out MIKE! and all the little kids had no clue what I was talking about. but that's okay Mike, you don't need those little brats.

  8. Man, you're a rock star and a movie star in the same year! Hard to believe that back in August you seemed to be up in the air about going -- obviously, it ended up being a once in several lifetimes experience.

Headed to Nashville tomorrow -- will look for your sister around town. :) Oh, and I spent some time with Jon Coulton at his home studio last week and he had very nice things to say about you. Small world.

    Cheers,
    David

  9. Saw it today! OMG it was awesome. I love the glasses, hahaha.. i was like "MIKE!!" it was very nicely choreographed! loved it & laughed at Miley complaining bout the "fall" :P

  10. Aha what someone else said about the fall, and how Kenny was like 'But he's cute'. It made me laugh ^_^

I was also probably one of the oldest kid there. Me and my sister and 2 friends went for my friends 17th birthday. I went last night at a 7 showing, poor dad's who were bribed into missing part of the Super Bowl and rooting for the Giants.

I have to say though, the best part of the movie was the dad's who raced in heels. XD

  15. So...my friends and I just got back from seeing the movie. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Everyone couldn't have done a better job! We were the oldest girls in the theater besides the moms, and we did not care one bit! Seriously....everytime we saw you on screen, even for like a split second, we started cheering, clapping, and yelling your name...it was awesome. Goodluck on your solo shows, I hope you make it out to the east coast sometime, b/c I'll totally be there...

  20. Dude! I saw it Tuesday night, and it was EPIC!! Like seriously, totally most triumphant to the maxx of the superbness! You awesome, and like one of the first people we see in the whole thing. I literally yelled in the theater,"MIKE!!!!!!" and everyone was staring at me like "What the heck?!?!" it was pretty much amazing. I told my dad to get us there at the latest, 2 hours before the show if we want good seats, and he didnt listen, but we got there 1 hour early, and there was already three lines around the room formed. He should've listened. The one thing that really disapointed me about the movie was the lack of Jonasness in it. They only played 2 songs. grr. lame. But the rest was great! M-AZING job Mike! YOu guys did great! =]
