    When I don't know what film I want to watch, I'll usually put in Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky" When I don't know what to read, I'll usually pick up Tolkien's Silmarillion. When I don't know what I want to listen to, I'll usually put on "High Cost of Living." So you're in good company.

    3. I can't even remember how I found this blog.
    but nevertheless, I check this blog out every day to see what's up in Mike Schmid's life.

    Great cover! loved the piano skills+voice
    I hope this blog will live as long as I do plus one day, so I would never have to live without it...ok that part was creepy, I take that back.

    I went to a show at the Bitter End about ten years ago and sat down randomly in one of the booths in the back, next to a cool guy who chatted with me about music for the next couple of hours. I have been following his music over the past decade and it's cool to see Steve doing so well as part of the Weepies. You did their music proud on this cover.

    Heard your music, fell in love with it and just read (OK, skimmed) your blog from end to beginning. What an intense few years you've had! Any chance you'll come to New England (OK really NH but I know that's stretching it) this spring or summer?
